| In today's lesson, we'll help you check-in! In Greece, there are hotels, bed and breakfasts, hostels, and καταλύματα αγροτουρισμού (katalímata agroturismú) - "agritourism accommodations." These are "farm holidays" located in the most beautiful areas of the country such as Crete, Attica, and the many Greek islands. But let's not waste time. Let's jump right into today's lesson! |
| In Greece, when you get to a hotel and you want to check-in, you can use two possible phrases. If you have already booked the room and you want to say "I have a reservation" in Greek, it is Έχω κλείσει ένα δωμάτιο. (Ého klísi éna domátio). |

| Let's break it down by syllable and hear it one more time, E-ho kli-si é-na do-ma-ti-o. |
| Now let's hear it once again, Έχω κλείσει ένα δωμάτιο. (Ého klísi éna domátio) |
| The first word, έχω (ého), means "I have." Next, we have the verb for "close, book"- κλείσει (klísi). Afterwards, there's ένα (éna), which is the neuter indefinite article or number one. The last word, δωμάτιο (domátio), means as you might have guessed, "room." |
| So, all together, we have Έχω κλείσει ένα δωμάτιο. (Ého klísi éna domátio.) |

| This means "I have booked a room." |
| If you have not booked the room yet, the phrase "I would like a room" in Greek is Θα ήθελα ένα δωμάτιο. (Tha íthela éna domátio.) |

| Now let's hear it once again, Θα ήθελα ένα δωμάτιο. (Tha íthela éna domátio.) |
| The first words, θα ήθελα (tha íthela), mean "I would like." Then, we have ένα (éna) - "a" or "one," which we have already seen before, and then δωμάτιο (domátio) - "room." |

| Afterward, they will most likely ask you, "Your name please." In Greek, this is Πώς σας λένε; (Pós sas léne?) |

| The first word, Πώς (Pós), is "how" which we have already learned in previous lessons. Then, you have σας (sas), which we know by now is a formal or plural "you" Σας (Sas). Next is the verb λένε (léne) - "named" or "called." |

| This literally means "How (do they) call you?," but in this context it is used as a formal "What's your name?" |
