| In Greece, the currency is the euro. The currency includes 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500 euro bills, and 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 cents, and 1 and 2 euro coins. There are one hundred cents in one euro. |
| Let's try to say prices in Greek. Let's start with € 28.52 |
| The long way is Είκοσι οχτώ ευρώ και πενήντα δύο λεπτά. (Íkosi ohtó evró ke penínda dío leptá.) This is very straightforward. First, we say the number of euros, then ευρώ (evró). Secondly, note that the two numbers are separated by the conjunction και (ke), which means "and." So, before the και (ke), you always have the ευρώ (evró), and, after the και (ke), you have the cents. Finally, we say the number of cents and finally the word λεπτά (lepta). Είκοσι οχτώ ευρώ και πενήντα δύο λεπτά. (Íkosi ohtó evró ke penínda dío leptá.) |
| Λεπτό (Leptó) is the singular word for "cent" and λεπτά (leptá) is its plural. |
| Saying ευρώ (evró) and λεπτά (leptá) is not common in Greece, so let's learn the easiest, as well as the local way, of saying your riches. The short way is Είκοσι οχτώ πενήντα δύο. (Íkosi ohtó penínda dío.) In this case, it might not be immediately clear which number is euros and which is cents, but remember that there is a pause after the euros. So Είκοσι οχτώ πενήντα δύο. (Íkosi ohtó penínda dío.) is the equivalent of saying "twenty-eight fifty-two." |

I understand the PDF pages are not always perfectly formatted. This happens because the PDF is generated from an automatic system that is basically pulling out information from different fields in a database and putting them all together in a templated PDF.
This system gives the us the flexibility to add, remove, and update information on a single field in the database and within seconds we can have the information reflect on all the related lessons and their PDF notes without the need to have a graphic designer updating every single PDF manually which is time consuming and may result to errors on his or her behalf (ex. accidentally deleting or mixing up information). With this system, we can also change things on the PDF such as the fonts or a logo, should that be ever updated, and have the changes reflect automatically on all hundreds of PDF lesson notes.
Of course, this results in the layout not being always perfect, but the overall benefit is much, much greater considering that our database contains a massive amount of content for 34 languages (Greek being one of them).

Wish the PDF versions of the lessons would not split the titles from the detail information on the pages.
Whomever set-up the pages could have done a better job in formatting.
For example, Why is VOCABULARY at the BOTTOM of page two and the actual words are on the TOP of page three?
