John: literally meaning "to burst nose." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to show up suddenly, to crop up." |

John: Which literally means "to become Lοuis” — a reference to Spyros Louis, a Greek water-carrier who won the first modern-day Olympic marathon at the 1896 Summer Olympics held in Athens. When this is used as a slang expression, it means "to leave quickly, to disappear, to be gone." |
