| Listen to the dialogue. |
| Πώς λέγεται αυτό; (Pós léyete aftó?) |
| Λέγεται «πάρκινγκ». (Léyete "párking".) |
| Once more with the English translation. |
| Πώς λέγεται αυτό; (Pós léyete aftó?) |
| “How do you say this?” |
| Λέγεται «πάρκινγκ». (Léyete "párking".) |
| "It's 'parking lot.'” |
| First of all you'll need to learn how to say “How do you say this?” |
| That's: |
| Πώς λέγεται αυτό; (Pós léyete aftó?) |
| Listen to it again: |
| Πώς λέγεται αυτό;, Πώς λέγεται αυτό; (Pós léyete aftó?, Pós léyete aftó?) |
| This Greek sentence means something like " What is this called? ” But it means “How do you say this?” |
| Now, how do you answer this question? |
| The pattern is: |
| Λέγεται [ ]. (Léyete [ ].) |
| This Greek sentence literally translates into " It is called [word]. . |
| For example: |
| "It's 'parking lot.'” |
