Welcome to Can Do Greek by GreekPod101.com.
Γεια σε όλους! Είμαι η Χρυσή Παπαδοπούλου. (Ya se ólus! Íme i Hrisí Papadopoulou.)
Hi everyone! I’m Chrissi Papadopoulou.
In this lesson, you'll learn how to talk about your occupation in Greek.
This is Mark Lee and he's on a plane to Greece.
He asks the passenger sitting next to him, Panagiotis Papakonstantinou
"Are you a student?"
Mark Lee: Είστε φοιτητής; (Íste fititís?)
Listen to the conversation, and focus on Panagiotis’ response.
Note: the speakers in this conversation use formal Greek.
Ready?
Είστε φοιτητής; (Íste fititís?)
Όχι, δεν είμαι φοιτητής. Είμαι επενδυτής. (Óhi, den íme fititís. Íme ependitís.)
Once more with the English translation.
Είστε φοιτητής; (Íste fititís?)
"Are you a student?"
Όχι, δεν είμαι φοιτητής. Είμαι επενδυτής. (Óhi, den íme fititís. Íme ependitís.)
"No, I'm not a student. I'm an investor."
