Hi CCM,
I understand how the speed could seem fast for a beginner. My tip would be to add the vocabulary to your Word Bank and then use the 0.5x speed audio button that is there.
I hope this helps.
All the best,

The Greek words are spoken way too fast, IMO, esp. for beginner. I don't see a way to slow the recording down.
Γεια σου Αλεξάντερ!

Ya sas,
Δάσκαλοι όπως εσείς δεν είναι εύκολο να βρεθούν.❤️👍
Hi Margaret,
To be more precise, Σ' ευχαριστώ would be "Thank you" when thanking one person and ευχαριστώ would be "thanks". The difference lies in the contracted σε (Σε) which is a pronoun meaning "(to) you)" in the singular. In the plural, we have σας ευχαριστώ (or when we are thanking one person in formal Greek our of respect).
However, it's OK to translate ευχαριστώ as "thank you" even though a pronoun is not there in Greek. It is understood though that we mean "you" (singular or plural/formal) as opposed to "him/her/them" etc. for example.
I hope this helps!

Hello Jennifer,
Thank you for your message.
You can add any entries of the Vocabulary to your [Word bank] by selecting them and clicking on the plus sign on the right. Select [Word bank]. After that, please go to your [Word bank] at:
https://www.GreekPod101.com/learningcenter/account/wordbank
Once there you can listen to the audio also in slow speed (x0.5), which can help you to understand the pronunciation better.
Feel free to let us know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,

Please speak more slowly as we are trying to learn this language. It is difficult to make out what the person is saying!❤️️ JP.
In the Survival Phrases course, I learned “ευχαριστώ” for “thank you”. What is the difference between “Σ' ευχαριστώ” and “ευχαριστώ” – i.e., what does the “Σ'” mean in this expression?
